Finally got my computers sorted out.. Attached are three graphs the black lines are the 996 (550bhp) and the red is the Ur.. pretty impressed with it..

Thanks, it will be interesting to see what you find. It will need the map tweaked for the different ramp up but it's not going lean at the top.
I don't have any other pulls, I could expand on the areas above and take a screen shot of those but that would only make what's above bigger / easier to read...Comment

There's only one way to find out...... F I G H T!

Remap in a week or so, so will try and give it a go some time after that.
I would't want to do many if any standing starts, I have a Sachs Organic disc and uprated pressure plate, holding up well, but it does say not for full bore starts like the paddle version is.
Was worried the paddle would mean harsh engagement.
Still, most are talking about this clutch in a big heavy car like the S6, so it must help that the car is quite a lot lighter.
Other thing I need to do is take her over a weighbridge...Angus

Ideally, I would like to see 3rd and 4th gear pulls with WOT from say 40mph, and no shift until the limiter, but even though the above runs are through the gears, I'm able to pick some speed intervals that are unaffected by gear changes, so that the numbers will be similar to those from an in gear pull (slightly better, actually, as in gear pulls will usually heatsoak a little more).
Your times 80-100mph vs. some times from other quick cars (and bikes). The UR has a gearshift in that range, and that destroys the time. Will compare 70-90 for that and some other ranges later, but here is 80-100 for a start:
80-100mph:
Darrens 550hp 996TT: 2.07s
Darrens UR: 2.93s (gearshift kills the time)

70-90mph interval is good for the UR, but the 996 doesn't have full acceleration until approx 74mph, so I estimate that it loses approx. 1/10th of a second vs a 3rd gear pull from low rpm.
A very good interval for reallife acceleration numbers in 3rd, but I would have liked to see it from 60mph, but the 996 has a gearchange at 68mph and the UR doesn't have full acceleration in 3rd until 65mph, so 70-90 it is. Note that some of the comparison cars will have a gearshift between 70 and 90, but for the dual clutch cars like the 458, 997.2s, Lexus LFA, GTR, etc that amounts to only hundreths of a second.
70-90mph:
Darrens 996: 1.87s
Darrens UR: 1.82s

Indeed, in a friendly duel, the trick is to make sure that you pick a speed range that suits your car. In the UR, being in 3rd and starting the pull at around 60mph will smoke pretty much 100% of cars that you would be likely to meet.
Can you post a metric version of the above pulls as well? I think the data should be good for the 100-140kmh bracket, (and perhaps 100-150kmh) so that provides a wider span than 70-90mph1995 RS2 on Alcohol (6.8sec 100-200km/h)

I managed to get a few mesurements using my performance box. Unfortunately I can't quite do 90mph in third, I'm just a knats whisker away though. (more details on my project thread)
0-60 in 3.9
50-70 in 1.8
60-80 in 1.9
Couldn't find a good place for a standing start and 0-100Angus

Some good numbers well done
Interesting how the gearbox ratios play such a large part in comparisons on speed v's time. Mine won't do 60 in second hence half a second lost to 60.. But my 60-80 is covered in 1.7 seconds, It would be great to put them together at some point..Comment

Thanks, are the gearing differences because you still have the 5 speed 016?
I thought you had switched to 6 SPD ? If you have then gearing should be the same? Mine is a CBL box from the URS6.
I think I made it to 62/63 in second, so only just. And then about 88 or so in 3rd< pretty difficult to tell sometimes as it takes you're full attention when giving it some beans!
My green digi dash over reads quite a lot, probably due to the 15" wheels and coupled with the CBL box, need to try and improve it if I can, sat nav is quite handy to have for me...Angus

Yes mine is still on a 5 speed 016 box (a later torsion box from an RR) I just really like the short lighter feal of the 5 speed. I have the 6 speed and all ancillarys if it eats the 5 speed again... I got rid of the digi dash for the reasons you have said.Comment
