Crikey, does that mean there are only 4 on the road in 2012?
There was a blue example with cream leather for sale on the 'net recently - I assume it was one of them.

Brought the car into work today - really enjoyed the drive (my daily Passat B7 estate is not the most involving thing to drive!). I think it's the mix of retro and modern that I like about the B3s and B4s.

And there was another red 16 v Quattro with red interior for sale about 2 weeks back on eBay, it needed alot if work, so that's including yours and mine that's 4 that I've seen in the last proberbly 3 years,

Yeah I saw that - the interior was LOUD!
Hope it gets saved as it looked solid if a little tired.

That's the interior my old one had. I loved it! Even the carpets were RED!

From what I know they did a satin red which was just like tornado red, a deeper red which was like the ruby red type colour and a bluish/green interior which was obviously on the bluish/green sports, these cars all had matching colour door cards.

Agree. It is a time capsule of what OE was like and should be kept as such as much as possible. (IMO)

Never used to be too concerned with keeping even rare stuff original..must be gettin' old-and this is s-u-ch a beaut- Hell,yes ,keep original !
