Would the easiest solution be to cut out the required, sleeve and weld?

Much better idea. I think only about 20-30mm would do it. I'll maybe try that with mine. I'll need to find a sleeve the right size or make something after checking the correct diameter.

How about sourcing shorter drop links, got to be cars out there with a 270mm drop link, ford focus ones seem to ring a bell at this length

I cut threaded and joined mine tonight. I'll get proper joiner nuts on it and figure out the best length. I cut 30mm out of it.

Why weld? Just use a jam nut at either end of the sleeve

I'm going to pick up threaded sleeve(joiner nuts for threaded rods) tomorrow to see how it turns out. I was originally just trying to the the length right but I get lock nuts will just do it.

Having only just got he car MOT'd and taxed from today. This is a perfect set up and extremely neutral from first impressions this morning... However I will wait and see for damp conditions

glad to hear it. iv had mine on the road for a few months now and it seems really nice compaired to stock 28 year old suspension. Bear in mind my typ85 90Q never had a RARB so was the door handles would try and touch the ground on hard cornering! keep us posted on any wet weather antics!

Having been under the car to fix an exhaust blow I noticed the arb had been hitting the body fairly badly

What drop links did you end up with?
