          Right so a little update

Removed the hideous plastic 4 spoke steering wheel and replaced with a 3 spoke leather coupe version

          Old

          New

Then I fitted a set of vdo centre console gauges

After this I machine polished the whole car using a portercable and poor boys products. It's now actually a lovely red rather than pink! Check out the cloud reflections!

Final thing was I picked up a 5th speedline wheel. Absolutely mint,

Next stage is power upgrade, I've done a few turbo conversions on cars in the past but I think the v6 in this needs a supercharger conversion. Therefore next step is to find a good used eaton supercharger.

it will be interesting to see with the charger fitted, where was you looking to fit it?

down in place of the aircon compressor or somewhere else on the engine?

should be interesting to see how its done, as above have you thought of putting the later a4 30v lump in? it would make a better starting point.

either that or do something funky like a remote mounted turbo conversion in place of the back box, even with a quattro conversion that would be good.

With the conversion, i've posted before on here whats needed to convert a fwd to quattro as I got quite far into doing it to my own fwd tdi and had everything bolted up. Make sure you get a 80/s2 petrol tank, a A4 one does NOT fit, the filler nozzle is further forward compared to a 80/s2.

If you need anymore info let me know. I do have a spare bracket cut off a quattro that needs welding onto yours to hold the front of the quattro diff up.

The abs/lines are different btw, on yours currently is 2x lines unlike the quattro which is 1x line and the plugs for the abs sensors are different but you can cut/solder them to swap them.

Acid burn does the non quattro body have the mount points for the propshaft centre bearing?

Charger will have to go pretty much in the place the standard airbox sits I reckon unless I can mount it lower Down as I don't have aircon on my car.

no you have to weld in two brackets for that.

Hmm getting positioning of that bracket will be pretty crucial to avoid shaft vibrations. Any markings on the floor pan to indicate position or is it a case of having to measure off a Quattro?

Buy a smashed up quattro avant from a breaker and move all the bits over?

if you see the bracket for the prop you can't really go wrong with fitting it.
