About the hardness/stifness and rideheight... Only fitting these will sort this out. Sorry m8!

For the first owner comfort and rideheight was acceptable, for Mrs. not.

As there are still people that saw of a piece of their feathers, you're not totally dumb/ignorant if you try them.

I do understand your feelings about them.

Personally i'd take them back and buy the springs that were designed specially for the S2

I have had contact with H&R they told me that even after 1991 the S2 is still the 89Q the 80 is a four cilinder ,the 90 a five cilinder it depends on the weight of the front
not a B4 like the sedan or avant. so this is wat they say to use with the original Sportsuspension the CUPKIT got other springs in combination with bilstein .

Watchout though... when my turbo broke after just a few miles, I got tired of it and bougth a couple of rusty Golfs... now more than one year down the line... with all time invested into the Golf it has FINALLY been time to take care of the S2

But the Golf (mk1) is major fun to drive, although no comfort and not the power of the S2 but still... the grin on my face when attacking curves with the little tin box . http://garaget.org/?car=3451

                Cheers

Where did you get the engine from?

                  I canna find one!!!!

Oh P.S. Not being rude but how much did the engine conversion cost including parts (engine etc). If it's affordable and the parts are available I may just take a trip to Amsterdam. WOO HOO>

The only problem with these calipers is you have to ream the ebrake hole slightly larger to fit the coupe brake. Otherwise it is a straight fitup on the rear using a UrS4/6 caliper, with a turned down from 300 to 280X22 B6/7 S4 rear rotor or a rebored and slotted New Beetle/A3 280X22 rotor.
