  • S2 spirit - engine built

I had my engine rebuilt by myself. I did +1600km so far.
Prior the engine rebuilt a lot of work were done on suspension subframe in order to get car under the control.

Purpose of that built is to make engine more durable and better performing that it was (I was already runing RS2 MTM software for two years).
OE and performance parts were used.
Everything is balanced and weighted max. difference is 0,1g.
    SPEC.
    Supertech pistons
    ARP main and conrods bolts,
    Rosten performance I rods
    Supertech pistons,
    INA hydro lifters
    Single flywheel mass reduced.
    044 fuel pump
    RS2 injectors -
    New oil pump
    Metal head gasket
    etc.

Please find few photos below. I'm a bit lazy to post.

    at the begining

engine block after the chemical cleaning, reboring, plaining

    Aluminiuam parts after chemical treatment

Supertech Pistons, rods supplied by Geir Rosten - thanks

Because nothing is black or white, I have one issue with the head metal gasket - small oil leakage (please find the photo below). I've been told that small oil leakage at this area is quite common. Anyway a lot of money has been spent on this rebuilt, I feel quite uncomfortable with this. Head and block were reground and brand new head OE bolts were torqued according to the Audi spec.
Any advice how to sort it out?

Was the block face skimmed before building?
I have found that this lessens the problem

        Also re torque head bolts...

You must use silicone sealant at this corner

Yes, engine block and head were skimmed before building.

                  Thanks. for positive comment.
Std. head gasket can't be used. Metallic is the only way forward.

All modification are not listed, but the car is faster than Audi RS4 B7, and I'm still running standard exhaust with 3b cats and intercooler. This will be the future mods.
Photos are not perfect, original purpose was to make the evidences only.

Ordered from Demontweeks performance UK. Total cost cca 5500CZK.
Rear sway bar improved handling a lot. Right now I have RS2 front and Whiteline on hardest setting together with Rally Protlum race suspension http://www.protlum.cz/web/cs/2-produkty.html
