    Thanks man !

The work is going on here !

We have a home-made painting cabin.
It's not like a proffessional one, but it's enough for us

yesterday the car entered in it to receive it's preparation layer (apprêt in french)

    CAC exhaust + painting ...

    Hi folks.
Coming just to give some news

So we received the CAC silencer, it's beautiful and the sound is perfect

And now the car is all naked !!
Almost ready for the paint job

Here is our testing part for the colour. This is the final result that we will have.(I hope ^^) The lower part on the second picture is polished with 3000 grain then treated with 3M polishing paste.

We are going to get rid of as much rust as possible by sanding (i think it's the right word).
The rest will be treated with anti-rust product.
The varnish will be applied in 2 steps:
FIRST STEP Metallic colour then varnish ( 3 consecutive layers: 1 thin layer, then 30 mins later a thicker one, then 30 mins later an other one to have a good gloss).
SECOND STEP Let it dry then sanding the varnish with 1000 or 1200 to remove the "orange peel" and then applying a new layer of varnish.
