Very nice car you've got there, I'm extremely jealous!
That weird bar underneath is indeed part of the HICAS system. You can buy kits that remove the adjustable bars and lock the rear wheels. Many years ago I had an R33 GTS-T with the HICAS system fitted...made the mistake of trying to drive it in about 1" of snow and have never been so scared behind the wheel of a car! When you apply opposite lock to counter a skid it would turn the back wheels slightly and try to force the back end out even further!?Comment

Nice Thomas, very nice mate
You know you are doing your car ownership backwards right? You are supposed to have ricer cars when you are a boy racer kid, then grow up and buy German

Good to see you are doing what many of us would like to do- pick+choose favourite/long wished for motors and go for it!
Laughed at Alex's wrong way round observation- can I add to that by confessing to squeezing my wife, 8 mth old baby(+buggy+baby'stuff') +2 small dogs, into my S2 every weekend (she has her Hilux during the week)...and at 56 would normally be expected to be owning something estatelike and 'sensible'

Im glad to see someone buyign the cars we all wanted when we were younger too. I wanted a Skyline but never thought i could buy a decent one. very nearly brought an MR2 Turbo instead of the S2 avant but the Audi won. Thank god too really as i bet the MR2 would be backwards in a hedge years ago lol.
Buying sensible cars as we get older???? Well i have hit 30 and am looking at old whale tail Porsches.... quite possibly not the best thing to be looking at swapping the avant out for considering i have a dog and the girlfriend wants a kid next year.... lolComment
