I would say your mpg readout sounds about right.I'm getting 29/30 mpg on a run. If your really careful you will see 34mpg,you know the time when you realise you might not have enough fuel to make it home. Macsprings sounds like it's drinking it,perhaps it's the home fries?

Swapped the rear bumper for one I bought off another Classic audi /s2forum member (thanks Shaun for the good deal) looking much improved at the rear end I think

Had a scare with a passenger lower ball joint , which decided to come out of its housing while I was driving , fortunately I was going fairly slow ...., hence the reason for the control arms being done
