  • Audi CQ 7a maf

    Hi all.
I know it's kind of a bit too late for this kind of stuff but is there a way around maf sensor without going into custom ecu's, maps and etc..
My coupe quattro 7a maf is on it's way and i looked everywhere for a replacement - there is non about..
Car is running like bucket full of bolts, some specialist had it all tested and diagnosed lambda and maf sensors dead or half dead..
I've looked everywhere for solution its just seems there isn't one for this particular problem, maybe someone on here with a bit more experience could point me in the right direction i would kindly appreciate it.
I've seen v6 maf conversion threads but that takes custom ecu and i dont quite want to go that route just yet.
    Cheers

The same MAF as one from early 2.8 AAH. Is it so rare secondhand indeed?

Make sure you don't have a leak in the inlet manifold or vacuum hoses,it can make the same symptoms

Car is in garage et the moment, getting sprayed. Will have that checked out as well then, as at least once a year i have to change lambda and maf sensors, and i always go for bosh ones, they just dont seem to last. Thanks for advice.

throttle seems to respond okay, just running lean and low on power. im pretty sure its maf and lambda, which normally affect each other, somebody just now did me a good deal on 2 maf`s so i will be waiting for them to arrive and then happy days.

"Lean and low on power" could still be an air leak

if i would have a cracked exhaust manifold could that be the case? because i suspected that before, but because of how problematic it is to get to it, never had it checked

Both of them were replaced recently for bosch ones, didnt make any difference. I will update this thread once it's sorted.
