Couldn't overhaul a TT225

Hmm. I was duelling a bit with a TT225 on the Saarf Circular last night and on the traffic light GP around Wandsworth and Clapham, with the TT infront of me each time at the lights, I couldn't get past him.

I realise he was infront, so always going to be on the power earlier than me, but shouldn't I have at least been able to make some impression on him? I've still yet to change my lambda sensor so I know I've got a bit of a running issue, but still... Maybe I've got something else going on?

Oh and I got flashed by a damned GATSO too: thought I'd slowed to 30, clearly I hadn't. Now have the dreaded 2-week wait for the dreaded letter...

i was down in SW19 last night and surrounding areas, went down to Epsom then came back up thru london.
Had a play in a few places, had to chuck an anchor out the window at one point cos i didnt see a camera until the last minute, luckily no flashing!

Dan, I really hate to put more fear into you about the car... and the gatso, but....

A couple of weeks ago, I left a 225 TT for dead on the A10 - that isnt altogeather a shocking thing, except for the fact that my car is lacking severe power through what Im sure are many faults. Theres no way a 225 TT should have left you, unless it was chipped!

Have you done the boost leak test?

And, as for the gatso, my girlfriend got flashed at 35mph on a 30. 2 weeks later came the notice

How do you know it was a 225? The 3.2s have the same twin exhaust don't they? Plus if it had a DSG box then it wouldn't have lost anything on each gear change.

My car is standard (with a few probs) and it still left a 225 tt for dead.

With a chip it should be no competition.

The registration plate. The 3.2's only came out from 04.

Also the body style is slightly different - vents in bumper, bigger spoiler... they also sit a lil higher than the earlier models.

Another method from behind a 3.2 at idle has a valve which closes the right exhaust pipe. Not sure about differences from the front they are always a little spec in the rear view mirror

I've driven my mates DSG and it's sensational But bloomin embarassing to be seen in such a feminine car!

I actually think it's a much better ride than my car - quicker, nimbler, comfier, and that paddle shift is heaven :rocks:

dan, i think you need to trade your s2 in for a fiat coupe turbo
