I thought they died with the distributor.
Couldn't believe the S8 has a viscous fan too.

oh the one gatebil is what to do, me thinking a aan would be nice power

is it a audi 5 in the escort, i dont think my 5 pot love is that big
i did find the 944 looking up how to make a 5pot rwd gearbox for a 7 for all that

could call chain cover in this instance if you wanted as well, its also got a audi logo onit, so maybe call the engine badge, like grill badge

oh im now thinking about how you'd awd the 944, ferguson style system as seen on cossies and the audi q7 would work. doesnt the 944 use golf front wishbones, sorry track control arm, maybe golf struts and 944 top mounts and have front drive that quickly

Exactly. The AAN's single serpentine belt drives a bunch of things (alternator, A/C compressor, PS/PB pump and the viscous clutch fan). When that single belt breaks, you have no power steering, no power brakes, and no alternator. If you are really (un)lucky, the broken serpentine belt will jam the cam belt, breaking it and killing several valves before the engine stops rotating.

So changing it to prevent breakage is a REALLY good idea.

CHEVY V8??? OHV? Like some RX-7's that are on the US and south america with big and old design chevys or fords??? Is better if you take a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more efficient engine, Audi V8 4.2 40v ... and you still being an AUDI!

Unless... Unless... you are talking about the Lotus tuned 350cid engine from the old ZR-1, that means.. 5.7L, V8, 32valves, dohc, ect ect! But I would stay with everything audi anyway hehe

I don't like the name CHEVROLET UrQuattro! or Audi Camaro! lol
                  Peace!!!
