It also says that the greeny has airbag(s).. .... I didn't think airbags were added until late ABY's.

Also, as all above have said, a late ABY can be bourght for that much....I just bought a '95 ABY for less than 7K and it has the 6 speed, leather, heated seats aircon etc, none of which are listed on this 3B.

As for the insurance groups, the guy is making it up. I insured mine yesterday and found that most companies rate the S2 as a group 19

    Cheers n

Bear in mind that different insurance companies use different grouping systems, but they should at least be consistent!

Wow, lots of money for 3B's
Lawsons (where these are for sale in Middlesborough) do indeed pile the prices on. Only good thing with them is that they are not to bad at sorting probs post sale.
They can respond well to a good old bit of "haggling" especially if they know they cant pull the wool over your eyes.

I've just bought a little project car, 1991 80 2.8 quattro with front end damage, and my mate originally bought it from them..

Isn't this where your Bro Graham bought his now "ocean bound" S2 coupe from?
At least you've got a few of us up here that'll come along with you to view any potential car/s

...Still reckon 3B is the way . Also, contrary to popular belief they don't make big power, I reckon Tom and Beetie have proved that theory wrong

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

That white one isn't that expensive, in fact if its in really good nick and has any form of warranty and loads of history its a pretty good deal IMO.
Just because its a 3B doesnt mean its worth sod all

Were not saying that martin, but realisticly a 3B should be 5k max unless its had some major upgrades.

                  7K for a 3B is excessive.

The white one if the price coul;d be haggled to a low 4K could be a bargain if it's been looked after.

No need to get touchy about 3B's - they're great cars (and engines)!
                    I reckon it's worth £4k with a decent warranty.

Just because a few 3B sheds have gone for little money on eBay recently, doesn't mean good examples aren't worth the money. They're worth whatever someone is prepared to pay.
When I was looking for my S2 I came across one half the money I eventualy paid, and another twice the amount. Both cars were almost worthless IMO, because they just weren't the right car for me, so my money stayed in my pocket.
                        That's my $0.02.

                          Never said owt

May be worth a trip to Lawsons as regards the Pearl one, looks like it's in great nick, figure in for replacement S2 badges though, looks like it's had both removed, or leave them off if you want ultimate stealth :mischeif:

Thanks Jas - think I will take you up on that offer, need to convince the wife first it is a damn swell idea and considering she has just found it she is pregnant I might struggle but hey, the worst I can expect is no. (then go and buy it :mischeif: )

Graham did buy his S2 from there (£11k he paid for it several years ago I think) - it is now Oz bound, probably just turned around India and heading across.
