I can't beleive it has gone to a dealer for that. It will be up on the trader for nearer £8k - £9k soon. Mark my words.....

I'm not going to pass this info on the previous owner. It wouldn't make his day.

A common phrase combining the act of urination and a cooking device, usually associated with Australia springs directly to mind. Poor bloke, selling an S2 is a pain but that must really hurt.

Hi m new on this site im thinking about looking at this car next week. The dealer wont go down on his price. Is the car worth the money even with that interior?

Hard to tell if its worth that without seeing it. IMO it would have to be really mint for that money.

But its worth what someone is prepared to pay. Have you seen any others to compare it to.

It is a good spec though.

                  Cheers,

                  Steve

Shame, you have only missed buying this direct by a few weeks For the money this is up for you could probably have bought Jims/BluS2's but again , being a couple of weeks too late it is now in Fontains hands for a lot.

Good ones do come up privately, you just need to be in a position to go/looking to buy when they do.
How about this one mentioned in this thread for starters http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11894

How about Andy's car? It's still for sale AFAIK. Currently on Autotrader. A real beauty in very rare Alpine White.

Mine is still for sale in all it's Alpine white glory!

For the price that the dealer is asking (£8700) you could have mine and sort everything to your specification. For £8.7k I'd add Porsche brakes (or equivalent), 17" alloys, H&R springs to make the most of the Koni dampers (if you can live with a lowered car), uprate the ARBs to RS2 front and Whiteline rear (if you can get one!) a Stainless exhaust and a MRC remap. 280-290bhp and many of the niggles with the S2 sorted (ie brakes and suspension tuned for cruising rather than the twisty bits) with really strong performance and braking to match.

I have spent a lot of time and money getting my standard S2 to a point where I am happy with it mechanically. I know the car inside and out and that's a lot more than can be said for a dealer who is out to make a huge profit.

Mine is standard except for the Samco hoses. I used to do about 200-300 miles a week in it with no problems at. Good luck anyway, hope you find one that suits your requirements.
