I've got an "sports" filter from Dialynx apparently from the service records.

It was in the old ABY box, it's time for a new one, i looked at the K&N but it's £40, think i'll stick to standard ones to be honest as i've changed my mind over the K&N.

                    Why are you changing yours?

I've been running a K&N panel for over a year now, and Alastair did before me, though not sure how long for. Not had any probs with dirty Maf and so on, but I fully understand peoples concerns with regards filtration over the OEM filter
My bro seems to have maybe had a prob with dirty maf due to K&N though, so "dunno" Seems these cars have a personality of their own
I've bought Tim's cos I owe Mark one.

I've been running a Dahlback kit on mine, so i just wanted to go back to normal oem paper filter. no specific reason just because there doesnt seem to be any conclusive advantages either way, and some hearsay that you get a dirty MAF, so i thought it best to go back to oem. i will miss the whooshes though.....

I used the K/N filter for some years with no problems. It was cleaned and reoiled by my friendly audi tech at the time (take a bow Mr S Singh Bradford Audi) with no issues.
I am going to stick with annual OEM as I cannot tell the difference except a bit of induction noise.
In addition I am no longer a 'boy racer' ha ha
