    Lots of RS2 parts

    Hi guys.

I have the chance of stripping apart a smashed RS2 with 40.000 km.
I will pick up the engine block and 6 speed gearbox, but there should be really a lot of good spares.
I'll need to travel for 550 km with a van to go there, unbolt what I want and come back.
The guy who's selling the parts is aware of theyr value so they wont be sold at scrap metal price, but I figured I still can have a good deal (the more parts I take, the better it will be).

Let's say that, just for a rough comparison, I can have them at an average of 20-25% less than the price of totsteile.

Main good parts (but of course I'll need to check them out, first) should include MAF, Green Injectors with fuel rail and fuel pressure reg, Exhaust Header, Turbocharger, Intake Manifold with TB, ECU, Full head with cams, coil packs. From the inside, full black leather Recaros (may take door panels as well for an avant type S2), main instrumentation with 300km speedo, supplementary instrumentation panel, AC control panel etc.
From the car should actually be missing only wheels, brakes ( ), intercooler and water radiators, fuel pump, steering wheel, left mirror and few others.

If anyone interested, once I go for the trip, I can take all the parts needed (given they will be in good condition).

OOOHHHH I'd love the interior but it will be LHD so the front door cards will be the wrong way round

Oh yeah and it's in Italy

What's different in the door cards between LHD and RHD?

Someone get the seats - highly recomended - huge improvement on standard leather seats.

              @ Doug

if still in place, I don't think the bumper would be in great shape

and yes, I already have the RS2 Recaros on mine and they are absolutely wonderfull.

                  Marco,

If it has a cruise control, I'll buy it from you. Must include all necessary items: indicator switch, vacuum pump with mount, control unit, wiring harness, pedal switches, vacuum hoses and the throttle control thingy with its mount.

I'd be glad to pay you over 100e + shipping of that set. You should get your share if his prices are decent.

Doorcards will be ok too use, just have to get new grab handles to make them RHD :-)

I wanted the Recaro's Greg! ops:

Marco, if the steering wheel is a non airbag type and three spoke with the grey Alcantara, than I'll grab that please :-)

                        @ porkkis,

I will check this out once I'll be there. But since I've never seen one before, just to make things easyer, you may describe in detail where exactly all those items are supposed to be and how they look like?
As said I'll have about 12 hours total trip (6 to go and 6 to come back) and only about 8 hours of working. So "time" will be an important aspect.

@ Martyn, both driver and passenger side airbags are gone (in the crash, I mean)

And we willl finally get to do the Italian job at last??

Ok I'm up for doing the run to the sun :-) anyone else care to come along? I reckon the cost of sending one or two cars to Marco would be a lot cheaper than shipping the parts!!

Anyhow, I fancy Christmas in Italy!

Marco, I'd be interested in the turbo and ECU, can you get me a good price on these? Email me with final price please so I can let you know if I can take them!

                            Cheers,
