Merlin's right Shirish - those proximity things are the mutts! Scared the hell out of me a couple of years ago when i walked a bit too close to a Ferrari 360 modena. Alarm double-bleeped and a stern voice informed me to step away from the vehicle!
Shrish, come on sir, bring out the silver beast for a photo shoot!
Jubjub, you're right think we should get the Rs2's together sooner rather than later! Can't do this weekend, but after that I'm pretty much free. How bout you guys?
Saturday mornings bad as I'm doing IAM observed drives at the moment, but most Sunday's free. There's at least 3 guys with Rs4's who wanna meet up as well, so venue and dates please ladies and gentlemen.
Bear in mind, its not just the 'getting nicked' factor, its my back (read old age) as well. I hate getting out of the car with a pain in the back - its just happening far too often for me. I've had better comfort out of some fixed back Recaro SPGs that were in my 911 for 10 months or so, and thats saying something, considering how limited their movement is!
Simon, Dean et all - more than happy to meet up, would be a pleasure not a chore
Name the time/place - can't do this weekend either, or April 1st at the moment (at corey's for brakes) but free apart from that.
Merlin/Tim - if i had one of those proximity jobbies, round my way, i'd get a brick through the window for being so annoying! In fact, i'd prolly do it myself, it'd go off that often!
B300ABT - if your car was the one below your ad, you'd have a deal! No offence, but i prefer the standard look.
Oh and the canteen facilities will be a bit better for the 1st also Shirish, I might even have constructed a waiting room (of sorts???) and a chair and mags or just shuttle you into Lincoln for some shopping?
However good the seats were, don't think they'd suit the RS too well, IMHO at least!
Fine dining at Corey's, sounds good! i'll bring a napkin to tuck into my collar, shall I??
Or maybe a Thermos flask?
might be able to rustle up a kettle and some facilities, so the thermos may not be required. It'll be ok for me beacuse I'll be busy but I need to keep the customer entertained, I'm a few years away from having lapdancers installed.
Are you gonna stick an Ad on Rs246.com and Pistonheads?
If you want my brother in law to do some magic on your driver's seat, he said he's happy to ave a look. At his work they put bolsters in BMW's, Merc's etc to aid comfort. Just a thought, you must have your heart set on that Porker...
