The 034 manifold works out at about £640 plus delivery charges etc. THis is the same price roughly that I paid for the Repo manifiold which is a very nice bit of kit.

I'm sure someone asked this question before but I couldn't find any results on a search. I looking at the options regarding exhaust manifolds but I want something, if possible, that will bolt straight on without having to rearrange all the plumbing. I realise that there may be a need for some moving, but I don't want the turbo sitting where the airbox is. Anybody any suggestions and what turbo and wastegate setup do you have? I'm looking at a the possibility of either an RS2 or a Garrett GT2871R.
        Pictures if you've got them.

For a RS2 or Garrett turbo with k26 hotside the RS2 manifold is hard to beat, as it is bolt on and does not require a new downpipe.

My opinion and experience is that 321 SS steel outperforms 304 or 316 stainless steel. I've seen and repair welded a couple of 304SS tubular header made by a guy in Germany. This steel is not up to the enourmous temperature differences. Therfore it will crack in the end. Thats why I have invested in the much more expensive 321 SS and still after 12.000 miles no problems with it. The turbo and downpipe hang on the EM with their full weight. They are not supported in any means.
In the end the costs of the 321 SS will pay back eventually because you don't have to pull the EM every month to weld....

            my 0,02 cents
