There are Cameras everywhere and all the roads have speed bumps, so seems pointless having a high performance car that you can only do 30mph in. Especially as I have been used to driving it 'properly' for so long.

You can still take it our early morning on to some nice B roads for a good thrashing surely?

Sounds like Cambridge....highest number of cameras in the world and worst roads.....I still have fun.

My advise....suck it and see, then if your worst fears come true, you will find it easier to let it go and we won't call you a pu55y

Don't forget this is only 1 of the factors. I will be renting with a mate of mine who has a drive for 2 cars. I will have a Mk5 TDi, S2 Coupe and a Mk2 Golf GTi aswell as hers, not really practical. Plus the sale of the GTi and S2 will fund a new toy

Flog the MKV drive the MKII as a daily driver, and use the money from the MKV to buy a house with a garage to keep the S2 in.....

(Well that's sort of what I have done! )
