Why these wheels have different size tyres is beyond me

Not something I would fit to my car as this will cause problems for the centre diff, not only that but I've got a sneeky feeling that they will hit the bodywork/suspension.

Nice wheels though..................and should really only be fitted to an S6/RS6 or A6-V8

because of the difference in rolling radius.

check this article out to find out about the differentials

With bigger wheels, you may lose 20PS, but with big power, it's irrelevant. It is not uncommon for big power S2's to wheelspin when being launched hard, even in the dry. I know, I've been there! Bigger wheels will reduce wheelspin considerably. Traction control reduces wheelspin by limiting power, or 'braking' the spinning wheel, depending on the system fitted. I'd rather lose 20PS if it meant the car was more driveable. As they say, 'power is nothing without control'!

Similarly, a 220PS FWD Golf 'may' be quicker up to 62 MPH than a similar Golf with 350PS, both running 15" wheels.

Ant - it will only screw the diff iff you use differnet size tyres front to back - you just get 4 tyres the same and it will be fine.

I have taken my front inner liners out so I could find out wher mine is rubbing - it is still rubbing but it's not marking the tyres so I need to start putting masking tap in the arches to try and highlight the rubbing points. - it only rubs under heavy braking. I did have to take some metal off my front wheels to get them to sit closer to the strut/steering arm - That cost be £40 per wheel(2 of them) for a machine shop to mill them.
