today we have learned something, if we want a full UrS4 engine it can be found in Finland for only 700 euros.

prices are going up on these engines but you have to keep in mind that even a 160k motor will be stripped checked and potentially need 1step larger pistons and cylinder head overhaul.

IF you did say that before stripping the engine you had checked the compression and there was a good service history on the engine, then price could go higher.

having very recently spent a fortune with new and second hand parts I can see how painfully rebuilds are. So the more info you have on am engine the easier it sells. 160km as it sits means at least 600 to 700euro on head rebuild (if you are able.to use the same valves), about 1000euro on gaskets and bearings, if cylinder bores are ok you need about 200 to 300euro on piston rings otherwise 970euro for new 2nd stage pistons

Two years ago I paid around 1500 euros only for rebuild my Cylinderhead. Only for rebuild this, and I mount this in my car

In the last two years the price for an S2 and UrS4 it's really high

6 years ago you can buy an Rs2 for 10.000 an S2 for 3.000 and a UrS4 for 1.500. Now this prices are impossible to find

This same week I can see in ebay a 3b engine for 4.000 euros in Poland

I'm not angry, for only 900 euros this engine stay in my home. If you find a complete aan engine in good condition in this time for only 700 euros buy it. No doubt. This engine only have 160.000 kms and its complete

Absolutely agree.
for 700-900 € you have a 1.9 TDI engine, there are no cheap things as far as 2.2 20vt.
It would have been smarter to make an offer and say that shipping is expensive.
I invite you all to look for cheap s2, rs2 or s4 in my country. Luck.
