Its the end for my affair with the S2. I have had the car for nearly 6 years now, and have pumped £1000's into it. Those of you who know me/car will know what its like. The cars bodywork is in very good condition, with only a couple of minor dents.
Recently it has had new MAF and O/S engine mount and front mount. Also changed the rear diff bushes too. Replaced the gearbox recently as the bearings had become a bit noisy, but it is now spot on, with no synchro problems.
Car spec is ....
RHD '91H S2 3B in Emerald Green 172k miles
5 speed gearbox
Engine was rebuilt using all new gaskets and bearings etc etc at 156k
Clutchnet Carbon clutch
New rad, diff bushes, engine mounts, MAF, timing belt and pulley
ABY conversion
Massive intercooler
Arrow rods
Custom pistons
630cc injectors
7a cams
Custom exhaust manifold
Custom inlet manifold
Garret GT35/40R turbo with custom braided oil and water lines
HKS air filter
HKS dump valve
50mm wastegate
3" turbo back exhaust, with no cats
MRC remapped
18" RS6 rims with 2 newish Dunlops
Hi-spec brake conversion
Koni adjustable shocks and springs
Poly bushed wishbones front and rear
Alloy bushed front and rear subframes
RS2 front roll bar
S2 front roll bar on the rear
The car hasnt been on the dyno since being like this, but beleive me, its fast. Ask Doug at MRC! LMAO. Its an estimated 550-600BHP. And still returns 27mpg on a run at 80mph
There is also a whole load of receipts for work done previous to the car being in this state of tune.
