Damaged But Repairable 3B Wheel Last Chance Before It Get's Scrapped.

As per title I have a single OE 3B wheel that got heavily curbed when I crashed my car, however it's still straight and a decent wheel place could sort it no problem....

I only want a tenner for it before get's weighed in on Saturday.

    See this eBay listing...

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/374111864...UAAOSw4eVif2hx

Can probably send it for less than £10 if your not too fussed about using Ervi (the new Hermes)

Would rather someone get some use out of it than it being melted down.

I know mate, you could use the hubs from the 30V I'm breaking to convert your car to 5 x 112... They'll need a bit of machining on the lathe but I can do that for you... Drop me a PM if interested as I'd part with one of the sets of 3B wheels I have.

Cheers Kit, I am tempted, but ought to keep my less than 12 month old wheels on there for a while yet, I reckon

Plus I may feel like a fraud without a whizzy blowy thing under the bonnet...

There must have been so many of those wheels scrapped, they really didn't last long, but cut and painted they look mint.

I do indeed have a set of four with decent tires on that have been refurbished but not amazingly well, I mean they don't look bad by any means but they should have done a better job.

I could be tempted to part with them and would throw the one on eBay in so you'd have a spare. I know the damage on it looks bad but honestly a wheel refurb specialist would sort that rim damage in half an hour.

I'll PM you some photo's of them tomorrow.

I dread to think how many have been scrapped, as the finish on them as stock really didn't last long, almost as bad as the fake split rim Speedline's.

I am going to get my other set Dimond cut again properly at some point down the line but they polish up fine for now.

And actually it's surprising how much it would cost for me convert the C4 hubs, plus you'd need four new wheel bearings, not a cheap undertaking at all.

I keep getting tempted by these but have yet to buy them as I don't think they will go with the style I am after.

I have to say I rather like those, somewhat daring style wise but I'd run them on Coupe. Not so sure they'd work on an Avant quite so well though.

They’re really nice, I think they’d look great on a coupe, are they a real split rim with replaceable sections?

Makes the hub flange/bearing conversion look cheap..... lovely though.

Wow! It does make changing hubs and wheel bearing look cheap... Though I feel you get what you pay for with item's like this, they look very well made and the fact their proper split rims is really nice, if you kerb one badly you simply change the outer rim. Also you can experiment with widths/offsets, still not a cheap set of rims by any means!
