@ acidburn, we have recently bought a range rover and the avant has really no use, although if i dont get what i think its worth then i will not be parting with it and will continue to use it daily.

wait till you change a set of pads and discs on the range rover then you will think about the budget car that was the s2.. ( an the 4x4 road tax)

the range is a 2001 so still cheap tax, the front discs with pads £72, so not as expensive as people think!
im using my 5 series for going back and forth to work and the missus is using the range but when i get in the avant it feels unbelivably fast, tight and special.
the seats are lovely and in a rare colour, that was a one of the reasons for me buying it in the first place.
