Just looking at a copy of Classic & Sports Car, they recon that new it would have cost £51,282 (1985) but is now worth between £45,000 and £80,000

It's f'in beautifull. Checked my savings and all I need is at least another £64,800 and I can make the guy an offer.
So here goes.......
For Sale or hire:
Middle aged, over weight, ugly guy. (Too) many previous owners, geeky character and annoying personality (brought about by interest in Audis). Will do anything (pretty much) for cash donations for old (ugly) car.
Help a geek, make a donation.........
I'll be hanging around street corners every night untill I've got the money, hope nobody buys it first...Comment

Apparantly, windscreen rubbers are nla as are screens, being basic Audi 80 parts !
I do not believe they ever made RHD versions ??
Having been exceptionally lucky to have a ride in and then actually driven one about 10 years ago
........ I wouldn't buy one- even if I had that money !

Ah, er, I think you need to check your facts. Of the 214 Sport quattro's that were built, exact ZERO were RHD, i.e. NONE.
Of the original run, 6 sport quattros were intended for Britain: 063 (red), 072 (red), 076 (red), 160 (green), 206 (white) and 207 (green). All had mph speedos, electric windows and mirrors and central locking "features not part of the normal specification"
Reference: Audi Driver, April 2001, pg. 66 "All the Sports - A guide to the 214 Sport quattros produced by Audi".
If there were any RHD cars, they were conversions of some type, not factory cars.

unfortunately the type 81/85 stuff is only going to get worse, speaking to martyn f at vagparts highlighted this as I was planning on building a ur quattro from scratch from a shell I know of and he said its actually easier to say what he can get rather than what he cannot.
And that was not alot

And from the Pistonheads advert "CAR ORIGINALLY SUPPLIED NEW TO SWITZERLAND"
There were several white Sport q's supplied to the Swiss:
No.'s 132, 134, 142, 153, 154, 156, 174, 182 and 211 (the latter's production date was March 8, 1985 - still not a "1986" in my mind).
They also got some red ones and blue ones.
