These things don't feel fast, 150mph feels like 70 (well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!). Even 140 on the 'ring felt pretty 'normal'.

here is the screw mod. This way i can really tighten the spring as much as if i were using a stiffer spring!
what it does is that it generally increases boost on all levels of previous remap. So if you were getting 1.5bar overboost and 1bar steady, you can raise all that boost movement.Problem as already mentioned is that eventually if you have 1.3bar steady boost at high revs and not the adequate enrichment, you can melt stuff!

I have managed to get away with overboosting at 2bar and holding steady as much as 1.8bar on 5th and 6th gear without any substantial changes on EGTs,while the remap is made for 1.65-1.7bar of steady boost. Then again i have never gone over 5500rpm on 6th gear and on 5th i only did it while remapping the car,so...lesser gears have EGTs within limits for those boost figures.

        The results are in!
Its alot easier to be speaking english (bar) now than converting from PSI all the time

With the WGFV unplugged, it sat at a rock steady 0.4bar in all gears.
With it connected, I did 3 runs, on the first it sat at 1.4bar, then the next two it was steady at 1.3bar. These were all done in 3rd,4th and 5th.

        What's the verdict doctor?

It's going to turn green and fall off... oh sorry, the car...

Sounds spot on to me but that doesn't mean that you don't have a small boost leak. You need to get it on a rolling road and get the AFRs measured to be 100% sure.

            Thats a good start then
I will have it on the rollers asap, probably going to be in 2 weeks now though, as Im already busy next weekend.

After those hard runs, the cats are definitly getting abit smelly, so might have to ditch those, its a good excuse to lol

yes i think your car is running fine. You must also know that if you have driven the car smoothly and without any bursts of WOT for some time, the ecu somehow 'settles down'.If you drive more aggresivelly then it livens up again.I think i have read this somewhere and i have noticed that with my car.As i drive it nicely most of the times, when i WOT it,it goes to 1.9bar fluctuating(it does that because of the remap) and then after some aggressive driving over few times,it can gladly go to 2.0bar even 2.1bar without problems. It doesnt mean necessarily that there is a boost leak somewhere. It is just how the ECU stores data.Which is why if you reset the ECU it comes back to what the remap is telling it to do excactly. Then you might get a better view if there is a leak or not.(not sure about this assumption though...)

Interesting, I was'nt aware of that!
I will give it another run today or tomorrow and reset the ecu beforehand

Just thrashthe nuts off it. I find that if you hold it on the limiter and sidestep the clutch then you get no extra boost at all but you will require a neck brace or a new diff..

If I could afford to drive it like that and not have to worry about paying to get it fixed WHEN (not if!) it breaks then I wouldnt be in this position in the first place!

My diff's always been fine with hard launches, no noises etc just a wierd tendancy to go sideways any given chance.

Even yesterday coming out the petrol station with a dying clutch
