S2 Avant for sale - Going Concern :( £3k ono
I bought this S2 Avant as a mild project over 1.5 years ago now. ABY engine. It's not perfect example but not bad either, the intention was to revamp her to an RS2 standard (I'm more a per original kind of guy as opposed to heavy mods so normally wouldn't play about but the car is capable of so much more so I felt this was the route...)
Some work got done, tried and tried to hold onto it despite building my first house, a new baby arriving with complications and now a job loss. Unfortunately I'm in a corner and she HAS to go. Along with 2 others. Bottom line is that I need to raise some cash quickly now to help with expenses. Gutted but I'll get to play with cars again hopefully asap.

decent mostly complete service history, reciepts, mots etc.
117,000 odd miles which I'm 98% sure is genuine by look/feel alone but paperwork is king and I have nearly an inch, v.decent leather interior, decent clean bodywork/underside/alloys
works I got to do involved new flywheel/clutch/timing belts/plugs/filters/battery
engine tight, excellent cond no ticking noises no leaks, turbo great
electrics all perfect
Bad points
it had a wing replaced at some stage in its life (drivers side). This wasn't declared by the chap who sold it to me but I spotted it anyway and decided to take a punt. HOWEVER 1st thing we did on arrival home was re-do it. We also put the car on a rig just to check and its absolutely straight.
Gearchanges are somehow notchier than before the flywheel/clutch got done, can't understand and need to have a look. all proper parts were used, came from Pete Reeve.
Leaky power steering pump, surprise surprise. Needs a look, I think we caused it during reassembly, poss loose/split hose?
Shocks/bushes need replacing in my opinion (was my next planned task) to be tight and fresh.
The car is driving well but not in everyday use, I have and need a diesel. But she gets a run once a week just to keep her moving (and when I need a smile)
The car is in Dublin, Ireland. She is still on english plates, per pics. Have the V5, MOT will be out by now and obviously no UK tax.
In view of my circumstances I want to make as much as I can for the car but I also need not to be still selling her for long.
I've had an offer from a car-friend for £1500 & his upfront idea is to break it for parts!!! I could do that myself however it is SO not a parts donor! With some effort this car could be a fine thing!
I'd welcome interest around the £2500-3000 reigon. I'm placing her on dreaded EBAY and other sites tonight, I have to.
