This is interesting. 380EUR is normal for pads like this though, I paid that too. The interesting thing here is that the pad you use s for a porsche 997 and I can not find them when I search for their part number. Do you have the pagid number or any other number? Where did you buy them? I'm curious, how do those pads sit in the caliper? Are they really a perfect 100% fit?
The pads I have are the pads for these calipers and they would work with the disc you have. Do you have any number on those discs? How much were they? Are they Brembos or who are the manufacturer?
I would appreciate any more clues and pictures you can give me. =) We can take it in PM or via mail if you want.
cheers! =)
edit: are those pads machined to fit?
edit2: After going through Pagid's online catalog the only 997 pads I can find that could be those are T1857 for Porsche 3.6 turbo with an OE number of 997 351 947 00. The problem with those are the size:
Width [mm] 190
Height [mm] 101,8
Thickness [mm] 17
The original pads for those calipers are 176mm so I dunno how those possible could fit without some grinding. And the obvious question would also be, why not use the pads designated for those calipers? =)

Hum... That is an interesting statement from them and obviously not entirely correct since the pads I have are for this calipers. The Audi Ceramic calipers are the same as one of the Cayennes and on that Cayenne they use steel discs. Here are some pictures of the P40 ceramic pads that I had in my possession, used in the ceramic setup on audi/vw:
And these are the T1414 Pagid pads used on Cayenne:
I did trace the contours of the the ceramic pads and measured them before I sent that kit back and they are identical to size with the T1414 that's for steel discs. So I would say Ultimot haven't done their research properly.
What I know, almost for sure, is that the brackets I sell will not work with a 385 disc though. I mean this is the clearance in a "standard" setup:
What I personally need is the Cayenne discs with a custom hat. Here are some pics of the caliper on a Cayenne and the discs they have:
People said that my carriers were expensive so I lowered the price to 250 EUR for a pair and ultimot takes 400 for a pair, maybe I should crank my price up again? :mischeif:
Epic: Would it be OK if I contact Ultimot and paste in that message? I want to know if they can offer me a 380mm disc, and maybe even tell them that they're doing it wrong regarding the pads.
Cheers
When I looked at this caliper on the s2 Ultimot said:
we can make a personal adaption of your calipers to your S2. But for a complete offer of suitable discs and adapters we need one of the calipers here at Ultimot. Please send one caliper to:

It is useful to combine the AUDI Ceramic caliper with three different discs:
- 360x34 mm 1-piece with 18" for about 200 Euro/pair
- 365x34 mm compound-discs with 18" for about 596 Euro/pair
- 385x36 mm 1-piece with 19" for about 436 Euro/pair.
There are no serial pads for using iron discs with this ceramic calipers. But we can adapt special PORSCHE pads for regular use with the above-named discs for 360 Euro.
The adaption of the calipers to a S2 is possible but caused of the wide dimension of the calipers/adapters it will cost exactly 400 Euro/pair.
We provide many products around the following topics: engine tuning, perforated sport brake discs, sport brake systems and much more. In case you are interested in other articles too, you can save international shipping costs by combined shipping. Please have a look at our homepage: www.ultimot.de.

I sure will. =) Did you buy the carriers from me or them? If from them, do you have any pictures of them? Do you have to use any spacers to get the correct offset on the disc or do they sit fine with the provided hat?/NEO - I have a sexual thing for big brakes.

Do you have the part number of your calipers somewhere? Want to compare and see if you and I have the same calipers. I'm 99.9% certain that audi only have one caliper that they use in the ceramic setup, but it would be cool to see if we have the same calipers.
Cheers
edit: If you count the 420mm ceramics on RS6 and Q7 there are two different calipers, but those are so ginormous they don't count.
