desperately need an intake manifold and pressure pipe

    Hey folks,
As of last weekend I've gotten my 20vt conversion back on the ground finally. It's been 2 years since it's 7A was retired and it has not seen daylight since then as I've been collecting parts.
I finally finished installation of 996 calipers on all 4 wheels, and fit a 3.5 inch turbo back stainless exhaust. I'm on to the interior right now, which is just a quick re-fit job; when I ran the wiring for my ecu, I pulled the entire interior out and did not get everything back into place perfectly. Namely the airbox is a little off so my glove box would not fit, and the carpet was shifted slightly (I removed and power washed it), so the seats were difficult to get in or out.

Now to the more interesting details: I am only days from getting to the engine wiring and inlet plumbing but I have no intake manifold.
At this point I'm considering everything, will take anything, but would prefer to end up with an RS2 manifold in the end. Mainly because I'm badging the car as RS2. (-meaning inspired by RS2.).

If anyone has an S2, 3B, or RS2 intake manifold and pressure-pipe please help me! After 2 years I'm very eager to get it together and fire it up but until I work this out I'm stalled. -I will continue looking for the choice manifold, but I will suffice with anything usable at this point.
    Thanks!

    Marty

Unfortunately I'm a little off the Wagner idea. I bought one of these on ebay.de for about 550Eur which I thought was a great deal, but it turns out that the injector holes and runners are all mis-aligned. After all the wait, trouble and anticipation of getting it here only to realize I'd been ripped off has turned me off to the idea. Now I just want something I can call reliable.

Really? Thats very odd, was it genuine? Carsten is very good with customer service so if you bought it from him then he should be able to rectify that for you with out any problems.

I have had a few of these for sale and they have all been perfect so it sounds like you were just very unlucky.

Try contacting Lupo911 on the forum, that's Carsten and hopefully he can help you out.

        Good luck.

I don't think it was Carsten, maybe someone sifting through his scrap pile hehe. I will contact him and see if that's an option. Thanks!

-wahler-turbotechnik was the seller ID. I'd certainly like to clear things up with that individual.

Moral buy direct not from ebay!!!!!!

It totally sucks that there are knock offs of the manifold that are giving Carsten a bad name

That sucks you got ripped off, definitely get onto ebay/paypal to get a refund and have this clown booted off eba for selling illegal copies of products!

On a plus side, I may have what you need, 3B intake manifold and a plastic ABY pressure pipe. PM me if interested.

                Cheers,

for archival purposes, I will post pictures of the manifold later today. Sadly I was not very bright in my decision making when I purchased the manifold; after much haggling with the seller on payment method I finally agreed to a bank transfer (his ONLY accepted form). The guy had 100% feedback and was very communicative. I was also able to google wahler-turbotechnik, and I did not find any buyer-bewares. I did find an address on Google-maps though. Even after all of this I was apprehensive, but I though I had enough to tip the scale and I hoped for the best. I was not aware of the fact that there were replica's out there and I honestly doubted it was likely at the time. I figured the manifold must be a half finished piece thus explaining the low price; It could be seen that the head flange was not milled correctly and the vacuum taps had not been drilled etc.
Well all in all it was and expensive lesson. I hope people can benefit from my mistake!

-As far as the need for a manifold goes, I have a guy from Belgium(?) who claims to have an RS2. If he seems legit and accepts protected forms of payment I will go that route. I also have several people from various forums, so many options have appeared. I will contact each of you if the RS2 deal goes south. Thanks everyone for all the help so far!
