Not a happy bunny.. S2 up again

..but it has to be done unless someone wants to give me a free petrol card!

I think I love this beast more than my gf (don't tell her that), I still get a tingle every time I get in it and drive it which is quite rare once you have got used to a car. It really is an amazing example, have had no problems and I don't need to lecture to anyone on here about it as I'm sure most of you already know it..

    See link for details:

You say you are selling it cause of consumption, but then put in the ad you are looking at S4's?!
    They are even worse

Well with the added power it has and the petrol I'm using on such a short commute at the moment I'd be suprised if I'm even getting 15mpg, I believe S4's are about 24mpg as standard so I don't think that's worse unless my maths are wrong which I doubt as it's the part of my profession which I need to be good at..

Well the car is unfinished if you got the injectors they don't have to be rs2 600cc ones for £200 can be had and a IC / Piping and remap.

For 1k you'd have a 380 bhp car which would do 20-25 mpg and is more fun than an S4

I know the fuel injectors you use and re-mapping can increase mpg but I really don't see how it can improve that much based on what it is currently doing. I also don't have a spare grand to just go out and do all that which is why I'm thinking of compromising on a less powerful high mileage although only a bit more economical S4, as I still want some enjoyment after having such a fun experience.

Except the S4 is twice as expensive to run and fix

                Good luck with that one

I put a message in the for sale section as I know it will be of interest to some people after an S2, not to open a debate, so please keep your comments to yourself unless you are interested in it and have questions about it. Thank you!

My last car was a STANDARD B5 S4, it averaged 20mpg.
An S2 is better on fuel all day long

Well it's all relative, if you got an S4 chipped you could get 28-30mpg on the motorway which is never going to be the case with my S2. Thank's for your input though.

As Jamo said... good luck with that one!
You obviously want an S4, and have convinced yourself it will be better on fuel to justify getting one.
I am speaking as someone that has owned one already, and you wont get over 25mpg unless you are planning on long trips at low speeds, and you've already said your commute is very short!
I could barely make 30mpg unless I drove like a saint and never went on boost.
Ive been back in an S2 for about a month, and am already noticing the fuel savings.

I haven't convinced myself about anything as I am not even certainly getting an S4 or any vehicle for that matter as I have the option of getting the train to my new location for a while. Yes my current location is a short one but by new one is going to be a long commute ?

Anyway thanks again for your productive inputs..
