For sale MTM 350 bhp ABY engine

For sale MTM 350 bhp ABY engine £2200 ono
I also have an RS2 intercooler / crossmember for sale which the engine buyer could have for £200 with the engine

ABY Long Engine with a MTM 350 BHP conversion (conversion alone costs £3930+VAT!!)
Head / Turbo / RS2 Ex Manifold are attached to the engine block.
Includes Coil packs, Inlet manifold, ABY Throttle body, Intake pipe, PCV system, ABY Clutch/Flywheel assembly. ABY Oil cooler assembly, Injectors, Cam Cover, Fuel Rail/ Fuel Pressure Regulator, Full Botton End etc etc

MTM ECU chips for the package.
    MTM Hybrid Turbo
RS2 Exhaust manifold no cracks (not pinking)
Fully ported and Gas flowed head
New Cam belts under 10,000 miles ago
New Clutch under 10,000 miles ago

    Link to spec

Running perfectly. Pulls very well. Doesn't use any oil between changes. Doug at MRC drove the car before they took the engine out. Feel free to ask him what he thinks of it. I've had my Avant with this engine for more than 12 years (and over 100.000 miles) and never had a single issue with it.

The engine has done a total of 157,000 miles

New higher BHP engine is the reason for the sale

is it just the head that has been upgraded??...(is the bottom end standard...not been stripped as part of the rebuild/upgrade...)

Yes the head only not the bottom end has been worked on / upgraded. It would have cost a lot more to rebuild the bottom end and MTM don't think it's required for 350 bhp. Clearly the Turbo / Exhaust Manifold / Chips are also an upgrade as well.

              About 20000 miles ago.

The conversion was done about 5 years ago.

The car doesn't get used every week and is garaged.

Feel free to speak to Doug at MRC to get his view on the engine.

Really surprised no one has snapped this up. Its a bolt in power upgrade with proven history. Id love this to replace the AAN in my cab, exactly the upgrade id like

Thinking about this as my coupe has just ticked over 157k so looks fateful...

Does anyone have any idea what MRC would charge to remove the old engine and fit this one?

Will, I asked Doug at MRC about the cost of an engine swap and he said 10 hours labour if it's ABY out and ABY back in at £56/hour + vat plus any fluids / gaskets / small parts
