Breaking S2 Avant

Will you get £4k+ for stripping it though?
Once you work out how many hours it takes stripping it, selling the parts, packagaing and shipping them etc - it must add up to a fair few hours. Are you gonna make all that back by selling the parts alone?
Seems to me even of you sell it for £3k, you'll save yourself a lot of hassle and time...
Has anyone got any data on how much you can actually make in parts alone?
Offset that against 50(?) hours labour and then see how good it looks.....

I fully agree. It looks very interesting to make more money in parts instead of selling it complete. And in the beginning parts do sell very fast but in the end you will struggle to sell the stuff that's left over. I parted a 3B coupe 3 years ago and still got stuff left that no one wants, same for the UrS4 I parted out last year.
The S2 had no MOT for 3 years and had multiple damages also some badly repaired ones, the S4 missed some important parts already. I'd never part a good car, no cars at all anymore tbh. You just don't get a satisfied feeling of it, actually I even felt sad to take the rubbish S2 and S4 to the breakers after I took the most parts off.

Btw is this Dest's ex S2 avant in the lovely blue colour?

Yes its Dests old car, the car will break for 4k easy, if not on here through ebay it will.

You have a option to come here with £4000 and you can save it from the scrapyard otherwise its going to make a interesting coffee table for my bedroom.

Andy, the interior is black, slight wear on drivers seat but not ripped, I gave them a quick wash at the weekend and they have come up quite well, could be done again as they were mega dirty but no stains, rears are perfect.

Gav, I was going to just leave that in so not thought of a price, make me a offer by PM if you like but its all there un touched if you want it.

just butting in here, i dont know the car but judging by the photos it looks in fantastic condition a real shame to break the car if thats the avenue your going down but i guess if you need to get £4k then you need to get it!! silly thought here cause you have probably thought about it but advertise it on pistonheads?? anyway pm'd you
