Its a good all round car though so it will help others get theirs finished to a good standard
Oh here we go again... boohoo... You simply aren't going to get 4k by breaking that car. Why can't people just accept what they are worth in the open market ?

It will easily fetch ~3500 sold as is unless it is carrying some nasty faults.

Even you could scrape 4000 by selling parts at inflated prices - would the extra 500 REALLY cover your time & effort to break it ?

I am really flummoxxed by this recent trend... The only upside is that it makes the remaining cars even more rare and the old supply and demand thing should trend future prices higher as long as there is enough people interested in buying one.

Sorry Paul but I believe it will break for that and more, time will tell but as I said originally I have the time and space to do it so yes it is worth my time breaking it.

Where are my inflated prices ?

If you want some inflated prices try calling your local Audi dealership for parts as my prices are VERY fair, even more so on a car as rare as this.

Thanks for your concern though Paul

Time is money and between building cars and engines I can break this without is being a massive issue, what doesn't sell on here will go on ebay and after spedning a year watching what those parts sell for I know I'll get the money I expect, what doesn't sell will simply stay bolted to the shell and will be sold with it for no extra cost.

I'm going to relist all the parts with the buyers next to it, if someone has asked for something thats listed as still for sale just PM me as I've literally had over 100Pm's about the car so I may of forgotten about the odd Pm regarding certain parts.

Try this Jonny... get a notebook and HONESTLY keep a record of how much time you spend breaking, selling (photographing, describing, listing on eBay), packing & posting bits from this car... I think you will be amazed how many hours are involved. Based on whatever you feel is a decent hourly rate then you can decide at the end of the process if it was really worthwhile (versus selling it complete for a fair price).

                          Steering rack is yours Paul

I won't bother keeping a record simply as I know what this will cost me in time, the fact is that if I'm not doing this I'm not earning anything, I've got 3 engine on the build at the moment but I do these as of when people can afford the parts so they never get done as quickly as I would like.

You are right though, at £25 an hour it will of cost me 4k in labour, I just don't look at it like that as I find other things to do along the way making it worthwhile.

I've had no steady income since March, running the car has been a nightmare for ages and due to the other project I can't keep 2 cars that stand me in at so much money, sadly for the S2 its the one I'd prefer to see go
