    FOR SALE: Recaro Seats

FOR SALE - a pair of genuine, black suede / alcantara, metal framed, reclining Recaro front bucket seats in superb condition. The seats have no wear on the side bolsters, have additional shoulder padding stitched in and also benefit from built-in holes within the back rest for shoulder harnesses. The Recaro brand-name is stitched in orange/red on the headrest. These are both very comfortable and very stylish seats (photos to be added later this evening).

These seats originally came out of a 2005/06 Mitsubishi Evo VIII and appear to have seen very little use in their life. The Recaro / Mitsubishi part numbers are printed on stickers found on the seat bases. They weigh approximately 12-13kg each without any runners attached, representing a decent weight saving over OEM seats. Due to a slight change of plan, I will no longer be fitting these in my B5 S4 and they are therefore surplus to my requirements now.

The seats will be supplied with a pair of universal runners and bolts for fitment to the seat base, as well as the original Evo VIII seatbelt clasps. The four bolt holes on the base of the seats are 300mm apart from front to rear and 405mm apart from side to side (all measurements are centre to centre). I can also supply with the specific chassis fitment legs for the Evo VIII, as these were supplied to me when I bought the seats (could be adapted possibly).

These seats would make a great upgrade for any road car or for track use. Will require adaptation of an existing subframe or fabrication of supports for direct fitment of seat or fitment of universal runners into the car.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by PM. Due to their size, these seats are collection within local area (Bristol) only. Payment by Paypal or cash on collection preferred.

    £475 ono.

The seats are the same as those pictured here, although I will post some photos of the actual seats this evening:

These seats are top notch, I've seen them / sat in them and they're really like new, the bases are less tight than my Speeds but the backs are every bit as supportive.

I don't think they have the release handles on them, have asked Pete.

Need Recaro subframes but Golf 3 ones can be used with a little adaption.

Nope, no handles to fold them forwards. Can do it off the windy handle, can't say I use the rear seats very often in mine, come to think of it, I don't have any rear seats...

As Andy has stated, they have windy handles on the outside edge rather than spring loaded levers. If you don't use the back seats much in your Coupe then they'd be fine. Otherwise, would suit and Avant or a track car perfectly!!

Some pics I've just taken of the seats on my phone (camera has run out of juice but you get the idea!). The picture in the post above gives a good idea of how they would look in the car.

If they could be made to tilt I would buy them, But it would be an mot failure for me with the rear seats in (and I do use them)

Thats amazing, my ur failed when the release lever wasn't working on the seats I converted, they originally came out of a saloon, I had to fit the release levers from a pair of old broken S2 seats I had to get it through the test, the tester said that someone in the back might need to get out quickly and the seat must not obstruct them, maybe your tester never tried to tilt the seats Or maybe if they don't tilt at all then no one can get in the back anyway so its not a fail?? Anyway, I'd need them to tilt..

Technically seat tilt is not part of test however if the tester can't access the rear to test the rear seat belts it's a MOT failure AFAIK

                            Where's Audiman?
