3B one is indeed metal and doesn't fail in the same way but it does rust and leak or fracture that way. The ABY plastic item is a larger outer diameter than the 3B/RR metal item so any existing pipes cause problems when swapping from plastic to metal or vice versa and thus you might have to replace the pipe too. Best to check what is on your car before you order TBH as Audi can be quite random.

                    Super.

How long do you estimate untill next ABY batch is produced and ready for shipment?
If you require, I can buy several sets as I need one in two weeks time.

I was contacted by a couple of people who wanted alloy pipes for the back of the block so duly obliged... Mine is machined from solid and anodised for corrosion resistance.

Well done Rob on the original idea (as a quick search has identified) so credit where it's due. Audi have been making the metal pipe since the RR and this was the previous fix for the problem. I must conclude that those people who came to me with a request for this product did so because they'd seen Rob's thread about the part and were not able to get one.

For the record, the product I am selling is entirely my design and was created after purchasing and analysing the available VAG parts (metal and plastic) and coming up with the best solution I could while meeting my customer's requirements and a price requirement too. I've taken the risk with my money to have them made to my specification and to sell them, the only other person who has helped is Bambridge with the manufacture.

Just to say that I will happily look into designing any parts that there is a market for or where the exisitng products are not up to the job.

                                Andy,

Your snubber and snub mount arrived in the post the other day, along with the socket mentioned in this thread.

They're very good, delighted with them.

My ABY socket broke when it was disturbed in the course of its removal to fit your new socket.

Can you send over the same three items again, as I want to pass them onto another forum member who is this week rebuilding my car that was in Quattronics. I'll forward payment the same as before.

I note the earlier comments in this thread and would like to encourage and reward you for take the leap of faith to invest your money in making these types of products for the rest of us with B4s.

If anyone has any other ideas for possible products, please post them on the forum for Andy or anyone else to consider. The more the merrier, as I'm envious of all of the products available for other non B4 Audis, i.e. B5 onwards, Mk 4 and 5 Golf VWs, Fords, and Japanese cars.

                                Thanks again and kind regards.
