I got those figures from a Bentley publishers Audi factory repair manual so, I dont know, but whats 6hp anyways? As for the sputter bearings again; some actual evidence or factory part numbers showing that they were sputter bearings would be awesome for my knowledge. I am not trying to be a jerk but guessing does not really do it for me. Do you think the Audi Sport engine development engineers were just guessing at what they have or need to develop engines when they won so many times at the 24 hours of Le Mans? I realize this is not as serious but forums such as these could be a lot more informative if people used resources to show evidence of statements. I used 034 motorsports, Kolbenschmidt website, and Bentley publishers to show some evidence of my statements. Telling somebody that they are wrong because an ABY used sputter bearings so your guessing an AAN did as well is not an intelligent argument, it is a logical fallacy. I am sorry but the information on forums can be extremely bad these days.

With respect your own info isn't exactly factual. People have found the purple RS2 sputter bearings in stock ABY and AAN engines. Anyway, we've established what is on offer here so over to the buyers now

I have personally taken many of these engine apart and further to that spoken with many people on here who have also, some who do it for a living ! How many have you worked on ?
From you posts I would say none, sorry but that's blatantly obvious.

You seem to think that because you have spoken to 034 then what you know is gospel
and that they know it all, seriously wake up !

Just so you know I personally followed Javad shadzi's build threads from 10 years ago, right back when he had a 10v MC motor with just his fuel only ecu on it, When 034 motorsport was called 034efi !
The collective knowledge on this forum is far greater than you can possibly imagine having only been here for 5 minuets!

We have knowledge from serious builders from all over the world, hundreds of personal
experiences and even if none of us had heard of 034 we would not he lacking in knowledge about these engines in any way.

I'm not slagging 034 off in anyway and there contribution to our cars is great, but don'tthink they have never got it wrong, I can assure you they have, many times!

As for me assuming that the later AAN has sputters because the later ABY does, I think that's a fair assumption, as it is essentially the SAME engine ! Audi work incrementally, thus logic dictates this to be the case.

You are of course welcome to your opinion of me and what I think, I'm sure it will
            amuse many people !

Yes of course, everybody knows it all and because I am new to the forum, I know nothing. The reason I never subscribe to forums is because they are all pissing matches such as this. You have turned my for sale ad into a pissing match. Thank you for the great forum welcome driftin jo, I have been reassured again why I dont go to forums.

Where did I say I new it all ? I said collectively.

As for pissing contest it was you that made an incorrect post and
were corrected on it, you then proceeded to tell the forum member who corrected your
error the he was wrong because you had spoken to 034. This was extremely ignorant
of you and proves you know 'nothing' if you like, I never said that, they are your words,
but hey, self fulfilling prophecy and all that.

Think biggest issue is shipping it if you are in america as it looks. You'd get good money for the head and cams in the states alone.

Speaking to 034 - is that actually something good?

I never posted that he was wrong. I posted where and who I talked to to get my information. I even thanked one of the members for correcting me and giving me new information. I admitted to being wrong about some of the info, all I wanted was proof with factory part numbers from you that sputter bearings existed in either motor stock. Extreme ignorance is not coming from me, it is you who is still assuming on various questions. I was always taught never to assume but to find proof. I'm sorry, I was incorrect in saying that the 7A and AAN bottom ends were exactly the same. I still do not believe your sputter bearing assumptions and it doesn't even matter, because the original argument was not weather or not either one has sputter bearings. It was...are they the same? It sounds to me, from talking to several people and looking at these posts, that the cranks are the same. It doesnt matter if they have sputter bearings or not, sputter bearings do not change the rod bearing journal size anyways. I can go to German ebay right now and buy Kolbenschmidt standard or sputter bearings for these motors and for the motor that I am building. How do I know this? I personally bought Kolbenschmidt sputter bearings for my 1.8t stroker build and they had a set of standard bearings for the same crank as well. The sizes do not change. So can we please stop this argument now? The pistons are obviously different, the block is a different bore size with the AAN being smaller on the basis that the smaller bore gives the block greater stability for the turbo application. The crank and rods are the same. Weather its sputters or standards doesnt matter, because you can put either one on the crank. Not trying to make enemies, just want to sell some stuff. Thanks

                      Ok.
I think the point is that people, myself
Included have found shutters in the ABY
Engines but they are not listed at
Audi as being shutters! It would seem that
After they sourced them foe the RS2
They just fitted them from then on to all
The 20v turbo engines as they are essentially
The same. As they have been found in ABY
It would be a safe bet to assume
The would be found in the AAN
As well. i will be stripping a law AAN soon
                      So will soon know

You are wrong about this forum. It is one from the fiew forums that has good tested info.
About bearings:2x1993 aan found sputter 1994 one,1995 too.
About engine:your engine if in good shape can value that money. But do not try to sell it like being good for a turbo aplication because the price buys a turbo one.

                          Best regards,
Stay on forum, you will learn a lot!!

I am probably parting out the motor, all the parts are still for sale. The crank, block, head, cams, "bundle of snakes header," etc.
