agreed...it is really heavy. I've also lifted the tailgate on an S2 rally car, though, and that was fiberglass, which helped a lot. It had p/ns but I couldn't find it in the family album....

The stock rear hatch is fiberglass from the factory. It was probably lighter because it had lexan glass.

Bonnet with vents 545 GBP

Aelred, are these bagged and vac formed parts being made from polished ally tooling? Not that it is needed but more curious.

Does the bonnet feature those escort cossy type vents?

Good prices BTW. Used to get pre-preg carbon made by the F1 guys for our spacecraft. Would love to know what the layup and pre-preg specs are too out of curiosity.

Hi, am I right in thinking standard S2 indicators / fog lights will fit this bumper as they do not look of the RS2 variety...

Hi. Like Lee I am into carbon (actually I own a carbon fibre business) so just to save you some heart ache, do you know the Tg of the resin your going to use for the cam belt covers, I make these in carbon and they get rather hot! so if your not using pre-pregs you must use a good high temp resin matrix. Also the number of layers and fibre orientation is important to eliminate distortion. Just words of caution thats all.

In reply to Lee I am not sure how the molds are made as they are with Simon and I have yet to see them as he is a long way away from him. Fibre-lyte are making these on my behalf and they seem to be quite a professional outfit.

aelred are you still able to get the bumpers? Will they fit straight onto the standard mounts or do you need to take parts from the OE bumper so it will all fit together?
