    16" Avus x 4 VGC

Just bought a set of 17" Avus II from someone on AudiSRS.com for summer use and have a ratty looking set of 16" Avus Is for winter. So the nicer set of 16" Avus Is are up for sale now.

They were refurbed by the previous owner not too long ago and are honestly spotless, two have Uniroyal Rainsport 2 and the others have Michelin Primacy HP. Plenty of tread and they look almost new! Fantastic grip both wet and dry weather.

Because of their excellent condition I am looking for £350, offers considered.

OK £350 was a silly price. £200 plus postage is more reasonable

I've seen a few places that will deliver 4 x wheels and tyres for £25. So if you do them for £225 delivered I'll take them.

        Thanks Christian.

OK I can do it for £225. Who have you seen that does delivery for £25? I used Yodel once as they were cheapest but they were a bunch of jobsworths at my end and at the buyer's end All I saved was about £3 as well

goparcelexpress.com. They where one of a list that came up when I googled wheel couriers.

I have never used them, so not sure what they are like. If you pm me your details I'll get some money over to you.

Yeah I've used them most times when I've had wheels couriered no complaints

Absolute bargain at £200 in that condition with good tyres IMO.

Well the wheels have come, but I'm a little disappointed with them. Although the wheels are in above average condition, they are not spotless. The refurb looks to be a diy job, and there are plenty of marks and scratches that have just been painted over. It sounds worse than they are, but not what I would expect from a professional refurb. The paint used is faily soft and I can see these looking tatty before too long. The tyres where described as almost new. Two of them are very good with plenty of tread. The other two Michelins, although have plenty of tread left, are fairly old and the side walls have started to crack. You may put up with them on a shopping car, but on this sort of car, I would say they are pretty much just fit for the bin.

If I had bought these for the asking price of £350, these would have been going back. I don't think Jack was trying to be dishonest, but the wheels and tyres are not in the condition that the advert led me to believe.

Sorry to hear that Christian. As you said I wasn't being dishonest as I don't think that gets anyone anywhere in life but I honestly didn't see any issues with the condition of the tyres or the quality of the refurb. There is obviously a risk involved in buying wheels etc from a forum without seeing them in the flesh and I know how you feel as the wheels I bought to replace these were much worse than I was lead to believe - they were even delivered covered in cobwebs and thick grime.

If you want to discuss it further feel free to PM me.
