it will be my first upgrade on my Coupe quattro next month when I buy it !
on audi s4 we take a vacum from intake manifold for brake booster and it work perfect , without any other vacum pump or something.
tested od 1.5 bar.
my S8 D2 have 1900kg , actualy 2000kg because car can't stop without me in it !
so 2 tone car stops better than any stock S2 , S4 or S6 with bomb even if they have the same HP2 brakes. brake pedal is soft and it make big confidence to driver.
if S2 have only 500kg less than S8 .. can you imagine how could it brake?
Pm sent. Does the power steering hose fit onto this pump on urs4 without mods?

Those pump looks like the PS pump from 100/A6 AAR 5cyl.it's same as PS pump
from UrS4/S6 but didn't have another port to pump the pressure to Brake servo.
you still can use the stock UrS4/S6 pump.Just remove 2 X-plugs on the PS pump and pull off the small pistons and springs, put the X-plug back on.now there's no more pressure pumping on the Brake circuit.
I have a D3 servo & master cylinder here - they are very cheap I got both for £30 inc delivery off flea bay.
I'm pretty sure it won't work with the OEM inlet manifold and intake pipe as its a dual diaphragm you can see it's way deeper than the B3/B4 vacuum servo, so it moves the master cylinder forward - reverse intake it should fit. Will need some custom heat shielding as the stock stuff won't work. There is only 1 front and 1 rear circuit port on the master cylinder, so no port for the reference line for the proportioning valve, but I guess you could tee off the pipe coming from the front circuit of the master cylinder to keep the OEM one. I'm going to use an aftermarket adjustable one anyway to dial in the different brake setup. Will report back once I've had more time to look at it.....
EDIT: Varia - why do you say it needs a 4 channel ABS pump?
I didnt say its need, but its not a bolt on to our (B3 cq) car, and thats what seemed the different, correct me if im wrong. (the red cq with V6 in it has the newer abs on the pic)
The brake master cylinder has 3 lines coming out the A8/S8 has two. Without going custom i cant see how it is a bolt on.
But any info is appropriated
Thx
next month (I hope so) when I buy coupe quattro will post whole tutorial that you could see how to do it.
it will be the first thing that I will do on that car because brake ""bomb" is dead , you almost cant drive with car !
on RHD it could be a problem to fix it , because there is intake pippe . also you could mesure if you have place for it . in some of privius posts I put a messures of it .
