The RS4 in an S2 has been done as well and it looks the part and the engine sounds sooooooo good!!!

I knew I had seen a silver S2 for sale recently. There are often decent S2's for sale in Scotland, which has repeatedly ****** me off for the last 6 months whilst I was trying to buy one.

I currently own an S2 and a 2.8 coupe and by coincidence had them side by side tonight. To be completely frank, I think you would be barking to attempt the conversion m8 The differences are just too many. S2's are not that expensive and it is a great time to lose the side skirts that the 2.8 has

Also, you and I both know that the 2.8 FWD system is already pushed to the limits with the 190BHP, which does not come in like a train at 3,000rpm. Anyone who has ever driven the old Saab turbo or a Ford RS turbo knows that turbos and FWD don't go, let alone an S2 turbo and FWD

P.S. The only thing that the S2 bodywork needs to finish it off is the RS2 bumper and maybe bigger wheels, if you feel the need to do much more than that, then you should start with a clio

i set out 2yrs ago to make my s2 and granted i got there - bout 8grand later!

ive changed everything interior/gearbox/engine/loom/driveshafts/propshaft/suspension/diff/exhaust/brakes/subframes/bumpers/wheels/clocks/dials

then you already have the modding bug and you go and change everything again!

intakemanifolds/intercoolers/radiators/cams/turbo/remaps/kitchensink

so if you start off with an S2 your already half way up the ladder!!

i have made my mind up and i am going to buy an s2 coupe in silver .

cheers (wabtheking) tought it may have cost alot of money to do the job.
not even going to think about it any more.will just go and get an s2 after the wedding is payed for. cheers again.

I simply came home with it one day

She sighed, then she looked at the red one (2.8 V6), then the green one (S2) and asked what the difference was. When I said it was faster, she went mental (summut about we have just had our first child, and I go and buy another 2-door car that is faster than summut that she has seen show an indicated 160MPH)

Took weeks to carm her down, by promising to sell the red one (so were at least back to square 1). several months later and there is still a Red Coupe littering up my garage

Anyone have any mates who want a fast, cheap car that is easier to insure than an S2? ..... please

Joined this one late, but would have said, "don't be stupid and buy an S2 instead of modifying yours, it will cost you a fortune and never be as good as a real S2!"
