      thanks guys.
Just drove it for real the first time to the gas station. How EXCITING can that be

Did hear some alarming noises in the car. The exhaust touches the subframe, this is an easy fix with another hanger. And the right front strut cloinks about. Need to investigate that....

Drain back into the crankcase is a common problem on dry sump setups that sit around for a couple of days. You can easily hydrolock an engine sitting for a week.

Personally I would always fit a dry break coupling of sorts to isolate the tank to the pump when parked up for any length of time.

Other than that good to hear your running again.

I am sure i read some where on weavers web site if you leave the engine un run you can cycle the pump with the belt of and a gun or drill to clear it.

Yes you could I just don't like the idea of oil pushing up against the rings of the pistons lower down the bore. Just incase any seeps past into the combustion chamber.

Flywheel is made by Repo. Fine bit of kit indeed.

The first outing is planned to Bittburg on the 14th of may. 1/4 miles on the airfield of Bittburg.
I will certainly take it to the uk. Maybe even this year

Its a pity that MRC day isnt a day or too earlier or I would have come on the way to Le Mans

There has been some talk of competing at ten of the best at the end of July!

As for the dry sump system surely the easiest way to sort any drain back would be to take the return line off the pump and zip tie it up in the air?
