Nice results with the pictures looking good, do you have any clearence issues with the wheels when lauching hard? saw a coupe at ADI show over here and it had some like that on, he said he got some small scraping but still looked the part.

it rubs a little in the front when I hit hard bumps but nothing major, only the tire rubbing on the plastic inside the fender. The 20vt setup is heavier than the stock 20v, but my shocks are more than dead up front.. so it doesn't help at all. I will get another set in the next couple of days and it should make a huge difference.

Are you sure its the shocks ?

Do you have plain ordinary 20VCQ springs or S2 springs fitted ?

There's some useful paint marks on them that can confirm if you like.

Yes, 95% sure. My bushings and shocks are dead in front. I have bilsteins in the back and putting that also in the front next week or so. I'm running on H&R springs all around.

The rubbing issue might still occur after putting my bilsteins, but it won't be dramatical. Even now, it ain't destroying my tires or anything, so nothing major there.

Oh that's true, it rubs in the back when I have 1-2 passengers sitting there or the trunk full for vacations... but then again, I have to take a good bump in order to rub.

I guess I could put stiffer springs or shocks, but I don't want to loose any ride comfort, especially with our crazy potholes crappy roads in Quebec.

Springs make you stiffer, not shocks...

The S2 rides pretty darn well on 'orrible Irish tarmac with stock springs - trust me - we got some bumps over here. I'm not suggesting that you want anything stiffer than that for road use, but some of the trackday maniacs over here do like something a bit stiffer again.

In both cases you can use adjustable dampers to get the compromise of tautness for handling and ride for comfort - definitely take that into account when shopping for dampers. Top adjustables available from Bilstein - not on the car though - search the forum for some recommended Billy settings for the Coupe (on S2 springs though).

Didn't take any pictures this summer with our crappy rainy weather that we have until now. I might take some next weekend since we're going camping with a lot of vw/audi fans.

Didn't do any special work on the car neither (except lifters) but she's in big need of a newer turbo !

Yep, there's 1 or 2 videos of my car on youtube... on the ice track and on the 1/4 mile too.

Unfortunately, she never went camping last weekend... a connecting rod died on the way there so she's now sitting in the garage waiting to get new parts. She'll get a special treatment too... but that's all I have to say for now !!

A little glimpse of what's been happening with my car since my last post !
First run out of the garage today.. runs sooooo smooth !
Just can't wait to drive her again !

Post revival !!!

Since last time, the car had some "minor" mods:
- 6-speed transmission
- Stoptech BBK
- 5x112 conversion
- new turbo setup (gt30)
- custom 3'' exhaust

Long story short.. we had huge problems with the shop from which we got the software for the new turbo.. didn't get a chance to run the car to its max potential yet and it's been going on for over 9 months now so you can imagine how frustrated I am. To top things up, the clutch (spec III+) didn't hold the power it was supposed to so we couldn't tune the car ourselves...

One thing is sure, the car will be pure madness when everything will be tuned right!! For the short time I've got to drive it, it was already insane and was lacking 100hp! Oh boy...

I've just received a new flywheel back from Spec and it should be installed by next week... hopefully this one will hold all the power and I will be able to drive my car very soon!

Oh and that may be a little off topic, but I needed to share our new daily driver with you guys... I'm too glad to have find the perfect car that I was looking for! These are hard to find in Canada.. a nice S6 Avant! At least the V8 is not going to be modded so that will stay the safe and reliable car haha (hopefully!). And no, the color choice is not on purpose!

Glad to see your still around (and not out hunting deloreans ) bet your missing your old wheels tho, they suited the car perfectly, shame they are not 5 stud. Keep us updated
