Looks mint mate, loving the colour too

Can you take some of the roll cage please Wab and your CObra seats. Did you use Cobra subframes for them?

is ibiss white, the new soild colour :-)

will take some at weekend, its a cage suppose to be audi 80 but no way it was going to fit, made new platforms and welded new pads on each leg fits mint now!!!

i made my own sub frames for the seats, they bolt through the floor, i still have the dxf file for the laser cutter so can make some more, they fit the base mount type and bolt through the floor

Cheers, I'll just stick with the Recaro ones for now then as they fit just right, it's just that the Cobra seats are a little cheaper... It's a toss up between the Pole Position and Furious, same seat but the PP is designed to allow 3 point seatbelts as well as harnesses so is a bit more practical for daily use but the Furious is £70 cheaper! It only comes in Velour though.

                    Nice work Mr Wab.
If you exhaust is anything like your previous ones, we'll hear your car a long time before we see it. Will it ever be allowed on track at Castle Combe?

after reading this thread i really really really want do this with my 90 quattro. time start plannig me things

how much lighter is the v8? as i read towards the start its aluminum, is it enough lighter over the 5pot to need custom spings

any progress? nearly on the road/track?

                            Looks like a great project!
have you seen Marc Swanson's V8 twin turbo coupe?

I figured I'd welcome my new car by jumping right into a project thread 8-) Here's the car, so far I'd say it was worth the 1k mile trip. I flew down to Atlanta Georgia on Friday and spent Saturday and Sunday driving back to CT. A couple of things about the car made the trip 'interesting'...

just picked up a set of the later coil packs tonight so should stop turnning them to puddles now :-) as the ones on my engine run at a lower voltage than the later ones which the ecu was set up for, also mine are £87 each!!!!!! later ones are bout £25 each from ECPs :-)

                                brakes all plumbed up now

got 6 deffi style guages for the centre console

got my eye on a universal didgi dash too ;-)

just got a vx220 as a project to rent out as a track car, on top of work being manic and managing to keep an 18yr old bird happy

hopefully make some more progress in the next few weeks :-)
