well the track day was great! few niggles still with my cooling system but overall the car drove well and the noise going down the pit straight at oulton certainly got people interested :mischeif:
cheers to gt500 (rob) for coming down supporting and showing a few of my guests what an RS2 can really do!
guy in the 997 gt3 rs prob when home crying hahahaha
fitted an electric powersteering pump from a peugot 207 and its works a treat, will post some pictures up from the day shortly

Rob was going to ask if his brakes were binding after hounding him down the start finish straight just before the marshalls showed him the blue flag!!

Your coupe definitely attracted plenty of attention too as you went 'steaming' past the pits (or should that be went past steaming)!!
Sounded awesome at full chat.

Would be very interested to hear how the car handles with the wide rear tyres, specifically tendancy to understear vs oversteer. Also are they shod with slicks, semis or road tyres.Comment

Car is very neutral, the rear wheels are wider (10j) but same size tyres (255/35/18) as the front (8.5j) front anti roll bar is a 7a one, rear is a shoreline on the stiffest setting. Front bumper is fibre glass, engine is similar weight to standard engine, radiator, powersteering pump and battery are all at the rear of the car.
Front springs are 400lb rears are 7a H&Rs, front shockers are koni top adjustable rears are standard. Im out in it again on the 15th of feb will do a full geo setup for then as its not been touched since I last drove the car bout 5years ago!

Shoreline was suppose to be whiteline lol stupid phone. Tyres are road legal semi slicks dunlop super sport race which I believe are NLA?

Intersting. My track (1985 4 door Quattro with 7A) Can have understeer but easy to induce oversteer. by + or - power, but no more than the width of a tyre and then she just sits there, and exists the corner under full power in a very mild drift.
Front ARB from a A4 mounted to control arm and nothing on the back. No limited slip diff either and circuit is tight with three 180 degree turns. As it's a road car do not have much negative camber either.
Thanks for your input.Comment

Any more details on your brake setup?
I got a master cylinder and servo from a 10v today, vacuum servo fits perfect, and so does the MC but it only has 2 outlets which used to go to the ABS. I had to delete ABS on mine too, but I had 3 brake lines. Had a look through bently and looks like the MC i have is from a 2wd, need a quattro one.
Also, its pretty damn tight round there, master cylinder is almost right up against throttle body hose, you got a picture of what your running for intake plumbing?
Cheers.
