Looking really good.... Was wondering what made you choose Alcon for the brakes? Was there anything specific which pushed you towards these?
The discs are 32mm thick right?

There are only two, maybe three companies that make best brakes in the world. In my opinion the companies in the order are: Alcon, AP Racing, Brembo. They supply brakes for F1, WRC, GT, Indy Car and other top of the line car series. The rest is ok, for tuning and track days, but for real world circuit racing you have to have the best if you want to brake right.

          Yes they are 32mm thick.

Hmm, interesting....Brembo own AP, so are the same company... Alcon always seemed horrendously expensive to me, for the spec you were getting...
But as with all these things, you get what you pay for, and for serious track , as you say, you need as good as possible...
They are I'm sure, very very good...
Loving the project, and looking forward to some vids of it on the track....!!

                    Albert,

Absolutely fantastic car. That is exactly what I will be going for on my new build. Love the cage design! I'll be using some of your ideas on my new one.

For those not on Motorgeek, this is what happen to my current car:
Well, I've decided to finally start a project tread. Considering the car has been off the road for over 5 years, it's about time. The car is a late-early build  , 1990 CQ, Tornado Red with black interior, or at least the interior was black when it had one. I purchased the car in 2001...

Link is to page 10 of my project thread, where info on the accident starts. Pics of the car itself are on page 11...

Haven't been on here in a loooong time. It's good to be back.

Some pictures of the front suspension modification Welcome camber/caster track play. The engine bay is not finished yet, still needs some work to look like it should look.

Sorry for bad quality pictures, made with mobile phone.

I'm after first test on the track. Before that I managed to pull 450 BHP on 1.5 bar !!! on the dyno. The turbo pulls form 3500 rpm and the drive is excellent.

I had to replace my thin radiator with RS2 500W model because the car was getting to warm. We have also replaced Walbro pump with the Bosch 044.

Next time I will try to make a video.

Hi Albert, it seems like we lost all your forum pics of earlier posts of your super project. Did you change your pic server? Maybe uploading them to the forum would be a nice thing, so they are saved for longer terms.

Do you have a dyno pull graph for us, so we can see how the 7A exhaust cam works on the GT3071R 0.63? I would be really interested in that one
