The second phase of stripping is well under way -

Rear seats and front seats out.
All seat belts and door cards out,
          All interior carpets out,
          Rear spoiler off,
          Boot carpet out,
Found £5.18 and counting in coins,
Mouse nest out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (only thing they have chewed that I can see is the front seat belts!)
Dash Is next on the list but I may leave that until I have had a go at restarting the engine.
I think I am going to go s*** or bust on this one and just attatch a bettery and try to fir it up!!!!

          Cheers

Right then got to where I want to be and have tried firing up the engine. It turns over but doesn't fire!!!!.
NO FUEL. THe car does have an aftermaket alarm on which may have an imobiliser on it but I don't exactly know. If I unplug the alarm the lights on the central console (battery and oil pressure) don't work and the car turns over but no fuel. I am going to crak off the fuel pump tomorow but does anyone think that I should bypass the alarm in some way. If so HOW?

            Cheers

Right then guys. Got my hands on a UR shell in good nick other than the rust has got to the rear crossmember. Should be easy enough to sort out with a bit of welding!!!!

Next bit of good news is -

After about 4 hours of stripping the alarm off the loom and sorting out where the original bits go a mate and I have managed to fire the engine up. Unfortunatley the fuel pump is b*******d so I am sorting an old one out just to get this running so I can flush it and sort any little niggles out and give it a steam clean and polish.

Thats the motor sorted for now then.

When I get the UR shell it will just be a case of having to strip one. Service the part (blast and spray or in case of the rear diff full check over and fluid change etc)
and put in on the UR shell. Then put it all back together and get the thing on the road while I sort out and build the more powerful engine to go in there. At least I will be a ble to work out any little niggles with the steering etc before the power comes. So hopefully this time next year I will have a shorty running a 10V engine on the drive and a 3B in the garage being uprated to take the power.

                        Cheers
