Could you tell us more what you did to get to 1050 kg?

If i correct the car was orginal an 2.3 quattro? Lets say 1300 kg. The new engine + intercooler, bigger brakes etc should make it weight more.
        Lets say 1350 kg.

300 kg less is impressive. How much weight is gained by fiberglass?

I have an stripped 90Q and im hoping for 1200-1250 kg ( i dont have fiberglass) so im woundering in what other area you lost weight. .

Rally would look great to me as well but im not nearly that far.

i had 1050kg without rollcage and biger brakes.
cut out a lot of steel from inside,
removed all insulation inside and underneath,
          removed interior,
          removed sunroof,
          removed gastank,
the hood is approx 4 kg,
          front bumper 1,5kg
the car was 1250-1270kg in original standing.

What did you put in the sunroof instead?

I also removed all insulation and interior but i still have a normal bumper and hood but i think that only 20 kg difference. How much would the gastank safe?

I dont have airco and i lost powersteering (maybe i want to put this back)

Im hoping voor 1200 kg driver not included.

I didnt know that insulation and interior safe that much kg

the insulation was approx 20kg, the original bumper was heavy, the hood with insulation was more than 10kg i think. the tank is another 15kg. my tank is fia aprowed race fuel tank. i think its safe.

the seat was 15-18kg, the race seats 4,8kg.

there is a lot of 5-10kg savings. all of them make a big difference.

Why guys in old audis usually wear helmets in such activities, and guys in bmw do not? Different head quality ?

i wear helmet, because i have roll cage. the other guy with the old audi wear too, hi likes to wear his head in one piece.
the bmw cabrio owner has too big head to wear helmet.
