Just a minor update to say I've got a vital part from Jim's selection of 1.8T scrap cars, a virtually new fly by wire throttle pedal that fits the loom I've got for this conversion.

And as I gave up trying to tap the SS T28 flange I got a threaded one with studs so I can easily convert the flange on my tubular exhaust manifold. Which also happens to be the correct stud pattern for a K26.

I think I have the same pedal for my car. I need to figure out/make up a bracket to mount it so could potentially knock up 2 while I'm on with it

I've thought the same thing, if you figure out an easy solution then I'd really appreciate it and would obviously reimburse you for any costs/time.

I have my work cut out recommissioning that B5 for the time being! Even though I really wasn't looking for another car I've decided to keep it as it's that bit more modern (but not too modern) plus it's a really rare model which may even eventually become an investment. Not to mention it was basically free.

Well, my rash C6 S6 interior purchase has turned out very well! The fronts fit into my B3 80 quattro project really very nicely indeed. They're a massive upgrade over the old pair of LHD 1990 20V Coupe quatto seats.

In these photos the seats are set at approximately halfway on their sliding front to back adjustment and just chucked in place in under five minutes.

They will require four secure mounting points weldind to the floor pan, each with a captive M10×1.5 nut welded into place. But they fit quite happily where they are for now, I can even sit in them and find a perfect seating position.

They have a virtually endless range of adjustment and are very supportive with good size side bolsters to stop one sliding about. They're also heated which given this car is what I'm most likely to drive in the winter, especially if we get any snow, is a major bonus. I even have at least two sets of B3/4 heated seat switches so I can wire them up without too much bother.

The rest of the C6 leather interior will be sold separately and these will end up being free, if I don't include my time I'll actually make money out of the deal.

Right, just a quick update to say I've had some pretty serious health issues over the past month as well as some heavy stuff going on with my folks so cars have been the last thing on my mind.

Anyway, I'm functional again now and aside from being a touch overweight and my damn elbow am in good health once more. I have a nerve induction test on my left arm on the 7th of next month so the surgeon will know which of my primary forearm nerves are trapped. Then he'll know which one he needs to fish out when I have the operation to dislocate and rebreak my left radius and have the a load of bone ground off the end. Which hopefully will mean I regain the use of half of my left hand and don't have to live with chronic pain at last.

I picked up a few things for my projects just before I became ill all have which have arrived now, some came from bloody China so took a couple of weeks.

I've been thinking about my various turbo options for this car and am seriously considering using the RS2/K26 Hybrid I'm building with a #8 hotside on this car, it'll make much the same amount of power as my GT2871 knock off, perhaps a little more.

I was planning on using it as a spare/second option for my RS2 but have decided it makes way more sense to rebuild the MTM K26/7 hybrid perhaps with a billet wheel but otherwise leave it alone, it already spools up much faster than a stock RS2 and has a considerably wider spread of torque and more top end mostly in part to the excellent MTM software. That'll free up my Zeitronix kit for this car, all my RS2 will need is a boost gauge and modifying it seems daft considering I'm very happy with it's current performance.

I know there's much more modern options but I really like old journal bearing KKK turbo's, they're bomb proof and last an extremely long time. My RS2 one only needs a rebuild due to eating bits of the bloody brittle plastic MAF screen.

Have also got my fully serviced 440 Green giants back which should supply enough fuel at 4 Bar for the RS2 hybrid.
