A need to motivate myself I cleaned the Coupe and snapped a few pics with the badges. I shall have a second Coupe in the garage later this year, one RS2 and one V8

that my friend is one gorgeous front end...
so when is the side shot with those perty wheels of yours? :mischeif:
and a 4.2 or a 3.6?
and soon I am afraid I very well may need to live my coupe lovin fully vicariously through you as my car continues to remain ginxed to the point where I can no longer bare the burden.
looking forward to the updates

For being a perfectionist, I'm surprised to see you showing a photo where you are missing a bumper grill...
Did you talk to Scottmandu about an s8 engine and tranny? I know typically has one on hand...
love the thread, Love the car, love to see all the progress!Comment

good eye, my mom saw that too and laughed at me
got to get to a lift and buy some new clips.
Last time I spoke to Scott he said he was still working on getting those motors here?! I am using an S6+ tranny for the V8.
thanks for the nice words

hmm 3 sets of Recaros, and only 2 cars, that is easy to solve...
I would love to come check out your project sometime, I actually should be up in your neck of woods around the 4th of July (we go up to the San Juan Islands every year)... let me know if you'll be around, it might also be good to show my wife that there are people who are much more obsessed with Audi than me!Comment

pics of a new oem replacement glass moon roof panel. One piece at a time I will get all the parts to make my Coupe new again like a factory built RS2Coupe. Hope this pic helps anyone trying to replace their glass panel roof. I still need to buy the steel frame which the glass is sealed to and the rest of the bits to convert mine to the Euro only anthracite version over the cream coloured version standard on North American Coupes. I'm not a fan of tint unless needed in very sunny regions so with a black in and black out car I think it will be perfect and allow curious folks to see the details of an older built Audi.
This project will be finished but I am not rushing it as the money to replace things and time only allows progress to go so fast. Hope it doesn't bore anyone because I am not going to quit until the project is done right
maybe here for years to come

A small update for encouragement. I am flying into Germany soon. I am not sure yet on the date until my passport is renewed. I will visit Amsterdam, Germany, UK and a few other countries. I will be exploring like a nomad with no plan just fun in mind.
While I am in Germany I am going to pay and sign papers for an authentic Abt C5 Coupe. If you have seen me ask silly questions and buy certain parts that seem odd I am collecting to build a Sport Quattro out of the Abt Coupe. The RS2Coupe is still my baby and I am still buying up parts to complete her like a full new factory RS2 Coupe even if Audi never built one.
Just wanted to update my thread a little until these things come to fruition. I am grateful to everyone who has helped me out with parts for my projects as well all the info shared and questions answered. This place has been a gold mind of knowledge and good friends to be made in the process. I hope to meet some of you as I travel and will let everyone know when I am on the plane.Cheers mis amigos,

glad to see you made it here. Plan on putting up a project thread? I really need some HID too. Definitely need to grab a brew. I'm usually available Mondays but let me know your schedule.
