  • I've been doing a few small improvements in and around the car.
    Momo Seats installed:
    I've fixed the faulty rear diff lock, the pipe to the actuator had a leak.
    Removed some weight, previous owner had a tow bar on the car , so i removed the cross member bolted to the chassis and some extra bits, saved 17 kgs !
    Ive got some lite weight wheels on order. My replicas with tyres weight in at 26kg's !
    with the lightweight 18's i reckon I'll weight in at 18-19 kg's each.
    Fitted a new windscreen due to the previous one cracking.
    Made up stiffer rear springs to counter the squatting effect on the launch.
    Also got some oversized arp washers for the head studs as the previous ones where embedding them selves into the head.

    Other than that car is mo

    Looking to remove more weight on the car , without stripping the car and interior.
    Getting her ready for the next drag race as well.
    Hoping to better the 10.9 sec run.

    • Where did you attach the rear harness straps?
      Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

      Sold-92 3B coupe-RS2+, 996s, konis, rear torsen, forged rods........

      • I had them initially attached to the rear seat seatbelt anchors, but i've re located and Attached them to the half roll bar/cage.

          • No Not really, i got a weird AFR problem , car tends to go super lean now and then , think it is the fuel pump or related problem.
            Working on sorting that out ...
            Got a set of Enkei Lite Weight mags on the car now , doesnt look so gr8 but saves alot a few kg's.

            • Wow been a long time since i've updated this thread.
              Ive been playing around with my other cars , had the S2 resprayed, to get rid of the unsightly scratches and sorting out a lot of the cosmetic issues etc ...
              I also re did some boost pipes and engine cosmetics.
              I Took part in some breakfast runs , taught a few rich kids to respect the elders and dented some ego's all on Pump fuel, but haven't really done any serious racing with the car due to my other track car.

              Then all of a sudden out the blue , i was driving a lil hard and showing off and i hear this serious ticking sound from the engine.
              Seems as if the Gudgeon pin broke !!
              I suspect the small end bearing must have seized or something.
              Fortunately the bore is safe and the big ends and crank is fine.

              whilst the engine is out i will renew all the bearings.
              I need a Single SPM H beam Con Rod - can anyone help or suggest ..
